We've been set up and unpacked for awhile now, but I'm finally getting around to posting pictures! Needless to say, life has been pretty busy here. The reason(s) it's been busy:
Bryan and I both got callings in our ward, after only two weeks at church. He got called to be the 2nd Counselor in the Young Men's presidency (he's over the deacons) AND Scoutmaster. He's been running around the last couple of weeks trying to learn everything he's in charge of. It's a little bit (okay, alot!) overwhelming thinking about how much he'll be gone between the two, but I know that he'll do great. I was called to be the Primary Chorister, something I've never done, one month before the Primary Program. These last few weeks I've been trying to learn the songs (several of which I had never heard of) and going over flipcharts. The Program is on Sunday, so keep your fingers and toes crossed that we pull it off! I am glad, though, that I have a background in music! I think I'm really going to enjoy it!
Anyways, back to the house. There are only a few odds and ends left to do. Here is the house! (picture intense)
Welcome! The yard doesn't look quite that good right now, but it's still pretty!
Immediately upon entering the front door, we have the staircase. The boys will often stand at the top and throw things down the stairs.
To the right of the staircase is the Formal Living Room/Office/room we don't know what to do with yet. One day we will get stuff to go in there, but for now the boys just run around in it.
To the left of the staircase is the Playroom! I love that they have their own space to go to.
Through the Formal Living Room is the Dining Room.
Through the Dining Room is the Kitchen! I love, love, love, love this Kitchen. It's about 21345 times bigger than the one we had in our apartment. Still to do: Curtains, and maybe next year we'll put in new countertops.
Then next to the Kitchen we have the Family Room. Update: Since I took these pictures, we got a new TV stand and mounted the TV on the wall. It's also not Halloween anymore.
Also downstairs that I didn't take a picture of is a half bath, laundry room, and entrance to the garage.
The boy's/Guest bathroom aka The Monkey Room.
Then we have the Master Bedroom. We bought a brand new bed, and it's heaven! I also love the bench seats in all of the bedrooms. It makes a great place to stash birthday/Christmas presents! Still to do: Curtains, and maybe paint.
Master bath. The yellow is super bright, and I love it! Still to do: Curtains, and at some point we'll put in new tile and countertops.
Guest bedroom. Still to do: Decor of some kind.
And that is our house! We love it! It fits us perfectly. We're enoying it everyday!
