Easter

Easter was particularly exciting this year. General Conference fell on Easter weekend, making it kind of a big deal. I love when General Conference is on Easter. It seems to make it that much more special, if that's possible.

Because Easter and General Conference happened at the same time, we decided to keep it a low-key event. We stayed in all weekend, relaxed and enjoyed each others company.

Saturday we watched conference, then Bryan went to the Priesthood session. When he got home, we dyed eggs!

As you can see, they had tons of fun! Alexander had no fear; he literally kept throwing eggs into random cups.

In the morning, we had to see if the Easter bunny came to visit.

Super excited! And of course...

The Easter bunny came!!

They each got stickers, new shoes, jammies, new Sunday outfits, and some toy cars. The Easter bunny was very generous!

Later, we enjoyed a breakfast of biscuits and gravy while watching conference. Once the afternoon session of conference was over, we went outside and discovered that the Easter bunny had also hidden eggs outside. Which meant...

 An Easter egg hunt!

They had so much fun!

I am so grateful for the Easter holiday. It gives me an opportunity to reflect deeper on the Savior's Atonement. To think that he died specifically for me makes me so humble and grateful. And then to hear the prophets express their testimonies for the Savior makes it all more special. It was truly a special weekend.
